Silver Gilt Cameo Ring by Fahrner
Ornate silver gilt ring from Theodor Fahrner featuring an oval cameo portrait of a lady.
The cameo is collet set and stands proud of a filigree detailed frame which is further decorated with six pairs of marcasites.
Viewed from the side or back, it can be seen that the frame is raised above an openwork design of tiny swags attached beneath to the shaped oval that sits on the finger when the ring is worn.
Marked inside the shank on one side 925 and showing the TF monogram and with Fahrner spelled out on the other side.
The ring, which dates from circa 1936, is a U.K. size ‘R’.
