Item Description
Gently contoured silver-gilt Art Nouveau brooch depicting a young girl with a flower and a sheaf of corn in her hair, gazing at a dragonfly hovering above an iris flower against a mesh background.
Basically oval but with a shaped outline framed with a typical Art Nouveau design detail of long leaves and stems.
With a Chester hallmark for the year 1902 and impressed with the maker’s mark of Arthur Johnson Smith.
This delightful brooch is 3.5 cm wide and is fitted with a safety chain.
