Enamelled portrait brooch from Limoges with the upright oval plaque mounted in a deep silver gilt frame decorated with a fine rope pattern detail.
Depicting a quarter length portrait in profile of a coloufully dressed young woman set against a dark background.
Very finely detailed with the enamel in excellent condition and signed, if a little indistinctly, to one side.
Impressed with a French silver mark on the back and measuring 4.5 cms. in height.
