Silver Brooch by Gustav Gurschner
Very rare sterling silver sculptural figural brooch with a female bust decorated with two cabochon honey-coloured moonstones.
A wonderfully stylised Secessionist/Art Nouveau figure of a young maiden facing straight ahead, with eyes closed and her long hair sweeping down and around her.
The moonstones add a distinctive feature as part of the headband she’s wearing.
Marked Gurschner and Depose on the reverse and with Austrian hallmarks on the clasp and the gold pin.
Dating from circa 1900.
