Arts & Crafts Silver and Moonstone Ring*
Item Description
Silver ring dating from the 1930’s that in style seems to combine that of Arts & Crafts with Art Deco.
There is a suggestion of Bernard Instone in the leaves and tendrils at each end and a Deco look on the shoulders with their arched design detail.
The claw-set blue grey cabochon set in the centre is somewhat of an anomaly in that we’re not entirely confident of its identity. We can confirm that its is a genuine stone rather than glass, but the blue coloured backing makes certain identification difficult, although we’ve plumped for moonstone.
The size is midway between L and M.
