Silver and Amethyst Necklace by Murrle Bennett*
Elegant and beautifully detailed silver necklace from Murrle Bennett & Co set with facetted amethysts.
The main oval shows delicate wirework radiating out from the central amethyst with another small stone set in the dropper below.
Three short lengths of chain attach the pendant to a pair of smaller similarly styled ovals above, each also set with an amethyst in the centre.
Dating from circa 1900 and marked on the clasp with the Murrle Bennett maker’s mark and the 900 silver content.
When opened out the overall length is 34 cm. The oval pendant itself is around 4 cm long including the drop.
