Silver, Amethyst and Marcasite Necklace from Bernard Instone*
Item Description
English Arts & Crafts silver necklace from Bernard Instone dating from around the 1920’s.
Long, curving stylised leaves filled with sparkling marcasites are arranged into five separate linked clusters, graduating down in size from the main central element.
Each of these is further decorated with strategically placed faceted amethyst stones, giving just the right amount of colour.
On its original chain, this necklace when opened out has a length of 38.5 cm. The larger central pendant is a fraction under 3 cm long.
