Plique-à-Jour Pendant by Levinger*
Jugendstil silver gilt and plique-à-jour pendant that, although unmarked, is attributed to Levinger & Bissinger of Pforzheim, being very typical of designs by them.
Suspended on two short lengths of chain from a central bale, the elegantly curved outline sweeps upwards into a pair of stylised lotus leaves, each plique-à-jour enamelled in graduated shades of blue-green.
Set in the centre is a fine oval blister pearl.
Simply marked on the reverse ‘deposé’ and with a width of 3.2 cm. The silver gilt necklace chain measures 46 cm in length.
