Delightful pair of panther (or possibly tiger ?) cubs, one of which is playfully boxing the other who is in turn looking rather unimpressed.
They were created by the French animalier Rochard around 1930 and are in an olive-green patinated spelter.
Mounted on a pretty salmon coloured marble base bearing the artist’s signature, this is a charming piece of Art Deco in a nice compact size at 37 cm long by just over 16 cm wide.
