Pewter Mounted Tea Service by Moorcroft
Item Description
Really delightful pewter-mounted four piece tea service from Moorcroft, almost certainly retailed by Liberty and Co. in the 1920’s.
Decorated in the well-known pomegranate pattern and with a rich, lustrous glaze, each piece has bi-fabricated handles and is fully signed to the base, also showing the number 279.
Good overall condition, with the creamer having just the slightest nibble to the side (just below the pewter spout) and a minor hairline at the base – please see the photos.
The two hinged lids, with lovely wooden finials, fit beautifully.
