Peacock Brooch by Charles Horner
A rare enamelled silver brooch by Charles Horner – in fact we’ve not come across a similar one before.
In the form of a standing peacock proudly displaying its magnificent tail feathers which completely circle its rich blue body.
Wonderfully detailed enamelling in several vibrant colours and we can only wonder at the number of times this brooch must have been fired during its crafting.
Gently convex and measuring 5 cm high by a little over 4 cm wide.
Dating from circa 1915-20, marked sterling on the back and also showing the intertwined CH mark.
