Owl in an Oak Tree Brooch*
Victorian 9 ct gold brooch with a scene of an owl perching on the branch of an oak tree, surrounded by an oval frame of twigs and leaves.
Unusually, three different shades of gold have been used which adds greatly to the overall effect.
The brooch shows lovely fine detail with the little chap having fine feathers and ruby eyes.
English, marked 9 ct on the back and measuring just a tiny fraction over 3 cm wide. The clasp incorporates a swivel safety catch.
