Newlyn Copper Hot Water Jug*
Patinated copper hot water jug from the Newlyn Industrial Class.
Square in shape, tapering as it rises and with a domed hinged lid that fits over the spout.
The wicker covered handle is riveted to the main body of the jug, ending at the top with a lever handle just forward of the hinge, in a perfect position for using one’s thumb to open and close the lid.
Each side is decorated with a repoussé design depicting a galleon under sail on the sea, and the front shows a splendid writhing fish, this being a pattern we’ve not come across before.
Overall height is 21 cm.
