Newlyn Copper Charger
Good sized and quite heavy guage Newlyn style copper charger depicting in the centre a galleon under full sail with the sun setting – or possibly rising – in a cloudy sky behind.
The image is framed with a random hammered detail inside the recess while the wide rim is left plain.
With the original triangular hook on the reverse for hanging.
A fine quality piece that we've not cleaned so it does show the odd finger mark.
The diameter is between 58 and 59 cm and it surely dates from around 1900.
