Necklace by Murrle Bennett
Art Nouveau silver and enamel necklace made by Murrle Bennett & Co with a very Liberty look.
The somewhat shield-shaped outline frames a solid silver plaque detailed with leaflets at the extremities and a colourfully enamelled central area broken by a sweeping linear design.
A natural baroque pearl drop completes the elegant look of the main pendant which is suspended on two short lengths of chain from a pair of enamelled spacers. These are themselves connected by another length of chain between them.
All the chainwork is original, matches throughout and is completed with a fine toggle type fastener.
Early 1900’s and measuring between 46 and 47 cm long overall when opened out.
