Silver and Faux Turquoise Necklace attr. to Bernard Instone

Item Description

Sterling silver necklace dating from the 1930’s that, although unsigned, is firmly attributed to Bernard Instone.

The main pendant, with its diamond shaped outline, features a centrally set oval enamel faux turquoise cabochon surrounded by intricate silver wirework and four tiny silver flowers.

This hangs from a circular surmount enamelled in the same fashion, which in turn is suspended on two short lengths of chain from a pair of similarly enamelled side attachments, ultimately connecting to the necklace chain.

Clearly marked sterling solver on the back of each of the four enamelled components and with a fully opened out length of 52 cms.
