Necklace Attrib. to Murrle Bennett*
Hammered silver pendant necklace set with a faceted green glass stone that, although unmarked, bears all the hallmarks of having been made by Murrle Bennett & Co.
A classic Jugendstil look with a circular outline and a semi-openwork overlapping design detail, accented with little silver dots above and below the stone.
The pendant is suspended on short lengths of chain below a pair of openwork silver spacers which attach to the necklace chain.
Completed with a very pleasingly shaped Mississippi pearl drop.
Circa 1895-1900 and approximately 7 cm in length from the top of the spacers to the bottom of the pearl, with the necklace chain adding another 37 cm.
