Murrle Bennett Silver and Opal Brooch
Silver brooch by Murrle Bennett set with an unusual bi-coloured opal stone.
A stylised shield shape with cut-outs on each side following the curve of the outline, and five little bosses giving a studded look.
The silver has a smooth suface which is a little different to the oft seen hammered finish.
Marked on the reverse with the MBCo maker's mark and the 950 silver content.
We believe that the clasp has been replaced at some stage and it now has a swing over safety catch.
A little under 3 cm in width and in good order.
