Murrle Bennett Gold Pendant with Garnets and Peridots*
Pendant necklace in 9 ct. gold dating from the early 1900’s made by Murrle Bennett & Co.
Approximately circular but with scalloped edges somewhat akin to the outline of a six petalled open flower and detailed with a delicate openwork design .
Set in the centre is a faceted garnet surrounded by six peridots.
The pendant is suspended on three short lengths of chain from a small, similarly shaped suspender set with a peridot, and another garnet is set in the drop below.
Marked on the back 9 ct. and with the MB&Co maker’s mark.
Just a fraction over 5 cm in length including the suspender and drop, with the necklace chain, which has a barrel type clasp, at 47 cm long.
