Murrle Bennett Gold Brooch
Item Description
Bar brooch from Murrle Bennett & Co made in gold with a central turquoise stone and three smaller ones at each end set in triangular fashion. Two small natural pearls balance the look across the bar, contrasting perfectly with the colour of the turquoise.
Completing the design, three rather splendid caged baroque pearls are suspended below on a series of gold chains.
Marked rather indistinctly on the gold pin – as can be seen from our photo – and we are unable to decipher the mark for the gold content, although we believe it to be 9 ct.
Dating from around 1900 and with a width of just over 4 cm.
