Micro Mosaic Pendant*
Italian gilt metal pendant set with a micro mosaic design of flowers inside an finely detailed border.
Beautifully fine work to the main floral element and with a little drop below also with a micro mosaic pattern.
The pendant is uspended below a fancy bale, linked to a wirework detail somewhat resembling a facing pair of musical f-holes.
Mid to late 19th century and almost certainly a Grand Tour piece, the pendant measures just a touch below 8.5 cm including the bale and the drop.
The necklace chain, marked for 925 silver, is 50 cm long.
