Marius Hammer Set of Teaspoons in Original Box
Item Description
Set of six ornate silver-gilt and plique-à-jour teaspoons made by the Norwegian jeweller and silversmith Marius Hammer.
Beautifully crafted, with twisted silver wire stems, delicately pointed bowls and handles fashioned with plique-à-jour enamelled leaves and flowers in shades of blue and green with a tiny red dot detail right at the top.
Quite probably never having been used, the spoons are presented in their original and very fancy silk lined fitted box bearing the name M. Hammer, Bergen inside the lid.
Each spoon measures just a fraction over 11cm long and is held in position by a wire gripper concealed beneath the silk.
Dating from circa 1900 and in excellent condition.
