Marius Hammer Pendant
Silver gilt and sky blue enamel pendant from the Norwegian jeweller and silversmith Marius Hammer.
An openwork square, turned on to one corner, enclosing an enamelled circle and detailed with tiny whorls of gilded silver wirework. In the centre is an enamelled cabochon.
Three little matching enamelled drops are suspended below and the ornate bale is similarly decorated.
Dating from the early 1900’s and marked on the reverse with the Marius Hammer maker’s mark and 930 silver content.
The pendant is 5.5 cm long, including the bale and central drop, and the silver gilt necklace chain measures 40 cm.
