‘Lucrece’ by Villanis
Good little gold coloured plaster bust depicting the infamous Lucrezia Borgia by the sculptor Emmanuel Villanis and dating from around 1900.
Her hair is upswept and tied at the back and on the front of her head she wears a tiara or crown.
Signed E. Villanis on one shoulder and bearing the seal mark of Societé de Bronzes de Paris verso.
The squared base sits loosely inside a further black circular base which houses an original plaque showing the name and address of L. Revon & Co., Paris.
This bust is in good condition for its age with the patination a little worn in places as to be expected.
