Lovers in Polished Pewter
Art Nouveau visiting card tray depicting two lovers about to kiss.
The girl has long flowing hair and, in typical Art Nouveau style, her locks are reaching out to embrace the young man.
Lovely detail to the features and hair with just a little minor pitting in a few places, but otherwise in excellent condition.
Made by WMF around 1900 and measuring around 28 cm long by 17 wide. The maker’s mark and model number are on the underside.
Lit: Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork from WMF, p. 169
