“Les Roses” by Fromantal*
Item Description
Stylish Art Nouveau bronze of a semi-naked maiden titled “Les Roses” and signed on the socle by the sculptor M. Fromantal (also spelled Fromental) who studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris.
Carried along by a butterfly, this lovely girl is holding a sheaf of roses in one arm whilst also admiring the flowers she’s holding at eye level.
This is a beautifully modelled statue from around 1900 and is mounted on a circular red and black marble base. The height is around 45 cm.
