Ladybird on a Flower Brooch*
Delightful square cross shaped high carat gold brooch featuring a ladybird sitting on top of a four leaf clover above an amethyst coloured four petalled flower, both edged with a fine line of gold.
Below and all around the outside, this colourful enamelling is framed by a border of little randomly cut diamonds.
Well contoured and three dimensional, this is a brooch that invites close examination.
Fitted with a torpedo type fastener and with a width of just a fraction under 3 cm.
Early 1900’s and almost certainly English in origin.
