Levinger Silver and Enamel Pendant*
Item Description
Jugendstil secessionist style silver pendant from Levinger & Bissinger.
An elongated, somewhat shield-shaped outline with two linked main components, the larger with a hammered finish and showing a pierced design.
Below this is a blue and green enamelled section, the design of which is reflected in the drop below.
The pendant hangs on two short lengths of chain from a central suspender showing a green enamel detail and this in turn connects to the necklace chain.
Completely original throughout and clearly marked on the back with the circular Levinger & Bissinger maker’s mark together with deposé and 900 for the silver content.
Approximately 8 cms. in length, including the suspender and the drop, with the remainder of the necklace chain measuring 45 cms.
