John Paul Cooper Gold and Moonstone Pendant*
High carat English Arts & Crafts gold pendant set with moonstones attributed to John Paul Cooper (1869-1933).
Pear-shaped and of openwork design incorporating leaflets and flowers that are absolutely typical of Cooper’s work.
The main pendant, with its finely beaded border, is connected by a single link to a suspender fashioned with further leaves and flowers and set with a large oval moonstone.
Unsigned but showing superb detail and very fine workmanship, so typical of this maker who was a master of his craft.
Early 1900’s and measuring 5.5 cm long overall, with the 15 ct. gold necklace chain having a length of approximately 46 cm.
