Inkwell by Gustav Gurschner*

Item Description

Fabulous patinated bronze inkwell – an ideal gift perhaps for that particular someone who seems to have everything and is so difficult to buy for.

By Gustav Gurschner (b 1873) it takes the form of a semi-naked girl, kneeling and holding in front of her a basket.  Just lift the lid from the basket and there’s your ink.

It’s a gorgeous item, in super condition and complete with the original clear glass insert (no chips).  Mounted on a marble base with just one very small chip as shown in our penultimate photo.

Made in Vienna around 1900.  Inscribed signature on the rim of the basket and with a height of 20 cm.  Sorry, ink not included…
