Henry Matthews Art Nouveau Gold Pendant*
Item Description
English Art Nouveau 9 ct. gold pendant set with a mother-of-pearl centrepiece and a moonstone drop.
Open in style with a heart-shaped outer frame enclosing a pair of stylised leaves, their stems appearing to curl around from behind the outside of the frame to meet in the centre.
Showing on the back a Birmingham hallmark for the year 1907 together with a somewhat rubbed HM maker’s mark. Also marked 9 and .375 denoting 9 ct. gold.
Including the bale and drop, the pendant is 4.25 cm long. The 9 ct. gold necklace chain measures between 44 and 45 cm in length.
