Hand Made Arts & Crafts Hammer*
Amazing old hand-made hammer with a heavy copper head and an ash handle.
Of an unknown vintage but it’s surely got to be well over a hundred years old.
The head displays areas of a tiny criss-cross pattern that have been beaten into the faces on both sides, indicating that this tool has probably been used in the making of some decorative old Arts & Crafts object many years ago.
It has obviously been well used in its lifetime as the handle shows signs of wear on the underside, but it still feel comfortably balanced in the hand.
The overall length is around 34 cm and the hammer heads are approximately 5 cm in diameter.
