Goldscheider Art Nouveau Bust ‘Immortelle’*
Rare and lovely Art Nouveau terracotta bust by Edouard Lemassi for Goldscheider titled “Immortelle”, of a modest looking young maiden with flowers in her hair.
She has a gentle and quietly serious expression, with her eyes slightly lowered and is the epitome of the Art Nouveau style.
Finished in subtle earthy shades of browns and greens, she is in very good condition and dates from circa 1902/03.
Standing just a touch under 40 cm high and numbered 2397/17/39. Also signed Lemassi to one side and with the usual Goldscheider marks verso.
