Glasgow School Brass Mirror*
Item Description
A Glasgow School square mirror with the brass frame displaying a wonderful design attributed to Margaret Gilmour.
The geometric Celtic style pattern is linked at each corner and woven halfway along each length. Three bosses positioned in triangle fashion at the corners add further detail.
With a bevel-edged mirror plate measuring approximately 40 cm square and an overall size of 60 X 60 cm.
This is a good quality and quite heavy mirror showing a few old minor dark fingermarks which could easily be ‘brasso-ed’ away if thought necessary. Dating from circa 1890-1900.
