Friendship by Coudray*
Item Description
This is a delightful terracotta signed by Charles Coudray, originating from France circa 1900. Titled “L’Amitié” on the base, it is of a young girl adorned with ivy leaves. She has a very attractive face and the pensive, wistful look that is so typical of many of Coudray’s models.
Very Art Nouveau look and in lovely condition with the pastel paintwork still looking fresh. This bust has been well looked after over the years.
She is a nice size at around 50 cm tall and is numbered 63/157, also showing the impressed circular French founders mark.
