French Art Nouveau Carved Horn Dragonfly Necklace
A nicely carved dragonfly necklace in translucent horn, hand crafted in France around the early 1900’s.
The dragonfly is in full flight with its long tail curving slightly to one side and from which, at its tip, is suspended an elongated glass drop.
Rather than being attached to the more usual cord, this is on a splendid old silver chain, probably the original, which is further embellished with decorative glass beads.
Unsigned but none the the worse for that and 11.5 cm long including the oval ring at the top and the glass drop.
The necklace chain is 64 cm long.
