Art Deco Silver and Gold Brooch
Striking French Art Deco brooch crafted in silver with gold highlights.
Circular in outline and featuring an open star in the centre ahead of a semi openwork design of upright textured strips, and with six raised silver bosses between the inner points of the star.
Opposite each of these, around the rim of the brooch, is a series of chevrons completing a distinctive and extremely eye-catching overall design.
We’ve no idea of the maker but it is marked on the fastener Bte SGDG which is a French patent mark that has long been discontinued.
The brooch is just a touch over 5 cm. in diameter.
