Proud and very noble antelope standing with his chest out, head held high and sporting a wonderful pair of antlers.
Beautifully cast in bronze at the Le Verrier foundry in the 1930’s and signed Fayral (a pseudonym of the French sculptor Pierre Le Faguays) on the back of the unpolished sloping stone base. Lovely aged patina with shades of dark bronze and antique green catching the light.
The length is 41 cm and height around 47 cm. A striking and eye-catching piece of Art Deco animal sculpture.
