Huge Enamelled Wings Pendant*
Item Description
Arts & Crafts silver and enamel pendant necklace of an unusually large size, crafted into the form of a pair of outspread wings.
Beautifully shaped and contoured, with a real three-dimensional look and set in the centre with an upright oval mother-of-pearl plaque.
Three freshwater pearls are suspended below to complete a stunningly eye-catching piece of Arts & Crafts jewellery.
Counter-enamelled on the back for stability, this being most beneficial in view of the overall size.
The necklace chain has a cross section linking the two sides before extending into its full length where it is secured with a toggle type fastener.
A fraction over 16 cms. wide from wing-tip to wing-tip with the chain measuring approximately 39 cms. in length.
Early 1900’s with no marks apparent, although with a distinct look of Child & Child about it.
