Dorrie Nossiter 1920’s Brooch*
Circular silver framed brooch by Dorrie Nossiter with assorted gemstones and pearls set in a crescent and covering around two-thirds of the circumference.
The stones include garnets, topaz and paste together with a cluster of pearls in the form of a bunch of grapes. Leaves, little balls and whorls, all fashioned in gold, intersperse the stones.
Circa 1920’s and, although unmarked as usual, instantly recognisable as a Nossiter piece.
The diameter at the widest part is just a fraction over 4.5 cm.
