Copper Galleon Bookends
Item Description
Pair of Arts & Crafts copper and ebonised wood bookends, each depicting a highly stylised galleon sailing on the high seas.
Fully rigged and showing a rose motif on the largest central sail and a crown on the lower for’ard sail.
At the top of the masts long pennants are streaming in the wind and there’s a wonderful little aftercastle perched precariously on the tip of the stern.
With a copper base plate to sit the books on, these not only look great but do their job very well.
Height is approximately 15.5. cm and they date from circa 1905-10.
