Copper and Brass Coal Scuttle
Arts & Crafts hammered copper coal scuttle with a brass swing handle.
Decorated on each side with repoussé worked stylised tulip flowers and leaves with more flowers around the tapered foot.
Of rivetted construction and very sound for its age of around 110 years.
The rolled brass handle is also hammered and the joints with the scuttle are nice and firm.
As can be seen from our photos, one flower on the base has been dented.
Height to the top of the sides is 39 cm and the overall width 29.5 cm. With the handle raised into the upright position the total height is around 52 cm.
