Little Art Nouveau silver brooch made by Charles Horner and hallmarked at Chester for the year 1911.
With a Scottish theme, the brooch is in the form of a thistle with an elegantly winding stem which twists and turns over and under itself before culminating in an amethyst coloured glass flower.
Marked with the CH maker’s mark alongside the hallmark and measuring approximately 2.5 cm wide.
