Charles Horner Flying Swallow Brooch*
Item Description
Silver and enamel brooch in the form of a flying swallow, made by Charles Horner and hallmarked at Chester for the year 1917.
With its head lowered, forked tail raised and its wings fully extended the bird looks to be soaring high, the blue of the sky reflected on its feathers.
A good, clean example of this design which is not often seen, especially in this colourway.
Measuring 8.25 cm wide.
