Carrara Marble Sculpture by Laure Hayman*
A very fine sculpture of a slender nude woman elegantly seated on a rock and looking down towards a lizard at her feet.
Dated 1910 and signed to one side by the French sculptress Laure Hayman, who was born in 1873 and recognized as being artistically active mainly between 1905 and 1923.
This is a piece that exudes quietness and tranquility and the choice of Carrara marble suits the subject perfectly.
