Attractive beaten copper and brass jardinière from Carl Deffner dating from around 1900-05.
Standing on four raised feet with an openwork design to the supports and with twin handles, the style looks to be influenced by both the Art Nouveau and Secessionist movements.
Marked beneath with CED and a large letter K, it is 24.5 cm in height and around 33 cm wide at its widest point. The diameter at the top is approximately 22 cm.
