A rare and lovely brooch from Max Neiger in the form of a flying butterfly.
Openwork in style and set with blue opalescent glass cabochons and contrasting shaped orange glass, the colours standing out strongly against the gilt metal detail.
Very well made, as to be expected from Neiger and a good size at a touch over 5.5 cm wide.
Dating from circa 1930.
