Bonté Carved Horn ‘Honesty’ Pendant*
French Art Nouveau carved horn pendant by Elizabeth Bonté in the form of a spray of seedpods of ‘Honesty’. This design was named at the time ‘Monnaie du Pape’.
Wonderful openwork carving with the tranluscent pods looking very realistic, framed inside a stylised circular twig.
Two further pods are suspended below and two more are attached to the double necklace cord in between four milky white glass beads.
Circa 1920s, signed on the back and measuring approximately 10.5 cm from the top of the circle to the bottom of the drop.
No clasp on the cord as it simply fits over the head, having a length of around 88 cm.
