Silver and enamel brooch in the form of a flying seagull by Bernard Instone.
This is one we’ve not come across before and it really is rather striking.
Enamelled in a shade of pearly white overlaid with blue on the trailing feathers of the wings, colours which seems perfectly to reflect the sky and the sea on a fine day, and with little pink and gold details for the legs, eye and beak.
The pin is fixed vertically, with the clasp positioned just behind the bird’s tail.
A fraction over 6 cm by 6 cm.
