Austrian Monkey Lamp*
Humorous and very unusual Art Nouveau metal table lamp from Austria dating from the early 1900’s.
Fashioned as a monkey climbing down a tree, grasping a nut in one hand and supporting the lamp fitting on the curled tip of his very long tail.
We are told that the pretty glass shade is original but cannot absolutely guarantee that this is so.
Approximately 67 cm tall to the top of his tail. This rare lamp has recently been professionally checked and rewired with three-core dark brown cable so it is properly earthed.
A real conversation piece that looks terrific on display.
